it’s just a temp. outage on some devices. not a big deal.
My Roku 3 stopped loading Netfilx a few days ago.
No prior problems.
Have Comcast cable/router. No changes
Simply get red Netflix screen. Nothing loads
All other channels work fine, and I have no problem loading Neflix on my other TV (through Blu-Ray player)
Roku is hard wired to the router via Netgear extender (as is the other TV that works fine)
my roku stream stick is very hot. tv’s been on 30 minutes or so. I’ve not been able to stream anything all day. mid afternoon? strange time not to work. trying again 6:30 pm still can’t get netflix, hbo-go, amazon video or hulu. I get a please wait message that lasts five minutes then it says try later. My cable tv is fine, my internet speed is fine. what’s going on? I tried unplugging the stream stick, discovered how hot it was, waited a minute plugged it back in, same problem. what do i try next?
How do you STOP a show to turn it off for the day? Pause/play button is the only thing I can see to do. Then I push the roku home button and turn the tv back to cable. any other options?
My Roku XS gives me fading contrast and brightness on my tV on netflix, crackle, and other roku supplied channels. I have Panasonic plasma with CRTS and it is set to “OFF”” so it’s not the set. Regular TV programing is not a problem. Roku is direct attached to my cable modem via ethernet cable. Any ideas…”
I’ve only had mine a few days and I haven’t made up my mind about it yet, but since I Googled “Roku problems”” and ended up here
Anthony Wood named his player “Roku
I HAVE 2 ROKU UNITS AND MYSTERIOUSLY THEY BOTH QUIT WORKING AT 11 AM WITHIN THE LAST WEEK AND MYSTERIOUSLY WORK AGAIN ABOUT 7 PM ALL MY OTHER WIFI DEVICES ARE PERFECT. I ALSO CAN NOT CONTACT ROKU THERE WEB SITE IS HORRIBLE. ANY ONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE?
the screen go purple when watching netflix
I have a Roku LT that has begun making a small beeping sound.. one beep every 20 seconds or so. The device is working fine except for this annoying beep. I had heard that it signals you if the remote batteries are low, so I changed those with no effect on the beep.
Anyone have any ideas?
I purchased a Roku xd 3 months ago. Everything has worked great until a week ago. Netflix is constantly loading, plays for 1-2 minutes, loads, again, again…. Crackle and other programs work fine, just Netflix problems loading a whole 15 minute program?
Just bought a Roku LT. This is, without a doubt the worst network device I’ve ever worked with. I ran networking for a hospital for many years and never saw the issues I’m seeing with this. When I first called tech support the guy said I needed “global DNS”” addresses. When I entered them
roku has now been showing only the top left of the screen in YouTube. Other apps are okay. When I changed the settings, as suggested by others we could get the entire screen on You Tube but the other apps are squished sideways. I am thinking about changing to Chromecast.
So I solved the problem- simply unplugged both the plugs that go into my roku box – counted to 15, plugged them back in and then reconnected the system to the internet via my iPad/iPhone remote (dog ate original remote). Works just fine now- no freeze.
Listening to Pandora and switched to go to Netflix. It became stuck in a language position. wierd and won’t budge. We have done everything you are suppose to do. Streaming has become terrible. We have gone to the lengths of increasing our streaming of our wiifi with our verizon co. This is terrible. I’m thinking of going elsewhere.
I have a little purple LT Roku, it started having problems playing tv shows on amazon partway through it would flicker and freeze up unplug and replug would finish playing show but next show same thing, I did instant chat with Roku and they helped me update software set 2 different hidden screens, then I watched Netflix for a week with no problem, went back to watching amazon, called amazon and they just wanted to delete tv season and add it back season 4 (wrong season ) as I was watching season 2 I then did chat with Roku again and they did a reset of my amazon app, better but still freezing up and turning purple every 4 epp, so I then went to display setting and it was set to HD tv when mine plays sd so I set it to the wide screen sd now we will see if this finally fixes it, before all these problems it had been playing perfectly, each time I chatted with Roku they have been polite, and professional and very helpful, hope these things helps somebody else
